About the Artist
Louise became familiar with the south coast environment while living in Ravensthorpe and Esperance. During this time she travelled into the Fitzgerald River National Park regularly to paint and draw its magnificent scenery. Although now living in Perth the Fitzgerald River National Park continues to be one of her favourite holiday destinations and an inspiration for her work.
Louise works in a variety of media - water colours, acrylics, pastels and mixed media. She has conducted outdoor classes while a TAFE lecturer in Esperance and for Swan Tafe Adult Education Short Courses.
Louise now manages Southern WILDERNESS ART TRIPS & WILDERNESS ART.
Louise has exhibited widely and is represented in the City of Fremantle, University of Western Australia, Albany Shire, Esperance Shire, Manjimup Shire and BankWest collections.
Observing nature in a wilderness environment provides the best inspiration for my work. I feel passionate about the elements of colour, shape and textures one finds along this part of the south coast. The Fitzgerald River National Park has a presence which stimulates and inspires making it a wonderful place to develop your creativity"
