THE PINE RIVERS BRANCH HEADQUARTERSYvonne Chapman

The headquarters for the Pine Rivers Branch is situated in Tarakan House, 1/3 Ogg Road, Murrumba Downs, 4503, (just 22 kms north of Brisbane along the Bruce Highway).

The building was officially opened on 17 January 2004 by the former Mayor Yvonne Chapman, (pictured on the right) Pine Rivers Shire Council. (Note: The Pine Rivers Shire Council became part of the Moreton Bay Regional Council on 15/3/2008).

The Pine Rivers Branch hold their meetings in the Air Marshall Sir Richard Williams, (KBE, CB, DSO), Room. The room houses a collection of RAAF uniforms, many interesting RAAF and war-related photographs, wall posters, personal collections, a library and memorabilia dedicated to the 548-549 Squadrons and to the Air Cadet Squadrons.

Meetings are held on the first Sunday of the month at 9 a.m (except January). Visitors are always welcome and a morning tea follows the meeting. For more information see MEMBERSHIP.

to provide donations for charities, including the Royal Flying Doctor Service

There are over 80 members of the Pine Rivers Branch who participate in many activities which include attending local Memorial services, fund raising and providing assistance for the local Air Cadets.

The members meet for a monthly Birthday morning tea at Tarakan House, then enjoy bus trips to many interesting places. For more information, see ACTIVITIES.
