Ironman Western Australia 3.8/180/42.2

I met Gem about 18months ago, she rocked up to one of my running sessions and tore away during the warm up. I thought to myself I'll have to educate this one on how to train properly.

Well she has learned and joined the exclusive Ironman family as well. In the 18 months she completed her first half marathon, a half ironman and now an Ironman triathlon after only 11months in the sport.

Her finishing time of 12.52.58 wasn't all to plan. A crash on her bike 3 weeks out took a little time to settle in the marathon, but she finished the day off like a trooper and with a smile.

Matt had a great day out as well. He broke the bike course record, I wish I could take credit for that! But that's all Matt's work. Matt's run was a little off the 3.40 we were hoping for, but when you ride a 4.19, a 3.59 marathon is fine.

Great Bike Ride - Chris and Erin got around together in good time on their road bikes. Phil also got around on a mountain bike. Excellent work guys!!!

Deepwater point run - Well done Janet, you have had a few distractions, but your not far off. Just keep ticking off the sessions.

Gem and myself had a good hit out down at Bunbury. Gem finished it off well with a strong run leg.

Chris flew the flag for Pursuit PT at the Hillary's tri. From all reports, he looked comfortable while improving on last years time.

Triathlon Pink

Mylene had an awesome time completing her first triathlon, bring on the next!!

Fremantle Half Marathon

Anne ran in pretty tough conditions to finish in just over 2 hours. Well done Anne!!

Pursuit Flashbacks
13th of August 06 Pursuit PT sent Lou, Naomi (both pictured above), Gem, Annika, Tamsyn and Sharon to the Joondalup 10k as a final warm up race for the city to surf. Weather was bad, but it was the fact I didn't tell them it was a state championship was apparently more anoying. My Bad ;-)
A big congrats to Rach and Dave. Lil Angus was born in the early hours of Wednesday the 8th. Their first and Pursuit PT's first aswell.
