Yes, we like to have adventures...

Both grand and small: here are some links to tall tales and true...

This is  the story of a recent three day club trip we did south from Jervis Bay that ended with an serious incident in big seas . http://www.nswseakayaker.asn.au/mag/49/JervisBay.htm

For reasons unknown the pics were not included in the story - however you can see some of them on: http://www.nswseakayaker.asn.au/gallery/gallery2.htm

How it feels to face death! Tom Parker tells his story. http://www.nswseakayaker.asn.au/mag/49/fearismansbestfriend.htm

This is another adventure (the kind you could do without) story about a 1000 km, 28 day trip  from Cairns to Thursday Island that ended prematurely courtesy of a hungry crocodile. http://www.nswseakayaker.asn.au/mag/40/deadmanwalking.html

Same trip but a lot less stressful.  A short account of the joys of kayaking in Torres Strait. http://www.nswseakayaker.asn.au/mag/40/tipaddling.html

This story tells of a 650 km, 33 day trip three friends did from Devonport to Hobart, Tasmania a couple of years ago. There were some anxious moments with bad weather, but no disasters. This would have to be  the most spectacular place for  kayaking in Eastern Australia. http://www.nswseakayaker.asn.au/mag/44/tassietales.html

The Four Amigos cross Bass Strait the hard way. http://www.nswseakayaker.asn.au/mag/45/bassstraitalmost.html

Our  resident story-teller (NSW Seakayaking Club) puts his own spin on a challenging beach landing and exit on the fabulous Nagee Wilderness coast. The photo at the end is a bit of a mystery. http://www.nswseakayaker.asn.au/mag/48/ten.htm

This is a fun story (providing you are broad minded) about a trip that really did happen. The trip was embellished  by our resident story teller to such an extent that his description of the behavior of the two tribes present on that trip is now an essential item of kayaking terminology in this part of the world. http://www.nswseakayaker.asn.au/mag/41/Cruisers.html
