The Festival provides an opportunity to SEE – TOUCH - SMELL & LEARN ABOUT the diverse and spectacular wildflowers of our region and their interaction and relationships to our unique fauna. Leisurely do your own banksia/dryandra botanic garden or natural bush walks where most plant species are labelled or join a guide to discover hidden bush secrets. Activities Galore- A Festival for all ages. Join our distinguished guest speakers talking on some fascinating subjects. Friday 14 th . Dr. Chris Dunn , Plant pathologist and dieback working group member from the Kalamunda Shire Council talking on Dieback and the latest research details and treatments. “Things that kill the bush -can we save our susceptible species” Saturday 15 th . Mr. Eric McCrum. OAM. Naturalist extraordinaire talking on “mini-beasts”. Those fascinating and unusual critters in our landscape. Sunday 16 th . Associate Professor, Dale Roberts. School of Animal Biology UWA. Talking on the fascinating frogs of our region and their importance to our ecosystem. Monday 17 th . Dr. Tony Friend. Principle research scientist, CALM Albany. Talking on Gilbert's Potoroo. Saving our rare “truffle-eating marsupial”.
