Vacation Care

PHILOSOPHY

Northcliffe Vacation Care provides a holiday program for primary aged children during periods of the school holidays.  The value of play is important and children have opportunities for challenging activities. Children are encouraged to develop to their full potential within a safe, caring and supportive environment.  The centre operates according to a philosophy of open management and aims to reflect the local community by encouraging participation and discussion about all issues relevant to the running of the service.

• To provide supervised play and recreational activities and an enjoyable place to meet and be with friends.
• To cater to children’s individual needs,  to allow them to grow and develop at their own pace.
• To assist children’s physical, intellectual, emotional and social development.
• To respect the rights of all individuals at the service
• To ensure that the highest standards of supervision, safety and hygiene are maintained.
• To enable parents to participate in their activities in the knowledge their children are well cared for.
• To keep the cost of childcare affordable to all families
