Half day Tag-along Tours

A guided 4WD tour through the dunes to the beach and returning via the old growth Karri forest (see 4WD tours).

  • UHF Communications (including Hand Held units) and all recovery gear is carried at all times.

  • Air compressor on board for those without tyre compression equipment

Monthly Tag along tours

Held on the 2nd weekend of every month (unless otherwise booked)
A guided 4WD tour through the D'Entrecasteaux National Park near Pemberton
1 & 2 day tour itineraries available
2 day tour includes 2 nights in 4 star accommodation plus lunch & afternoon tea.

Day 1

Arrive at accommodation - meet with guide for a meal at the common picnic area (this is not compulsory however provides a good chance for some networking & bonding before the next day).

Day 2

Meet at the designated rendezvous

The first stop is home of the Goblins
The next is Lake Jasper, the largest natural fresh water lake in Western Australia

BBQ lunch at Lake Jasper

The third and final port of call is Black Point where you can fish or hike to the columns

 

Visit the basalt columns of Black Point. Formed over 135 Million years ago by a volcanic eruption which filled the Perth basin with basalt. As it cooled it forms the hexagonal columns you can see now.

 

Finish up at back at your accommodation for your self prepared meal (free time)

 

Day 3

 

Meet at the designated rendezvous

 

Today you will be travelling through the Yeagarup Dunes to the mouth of the Warren River - travelling back through the Calcup Dune system (depending on river flow) This tour returns at around 2pm and includes a picnic lunch - so you can head back home (unless you wish to stay another night?)...

  • BBQ Lunch second day

  • Afternoon tea second day

  • Lunch 3rd Day

  • National Park fees are provided both days

  • BYO Alcoholic refreshments, hat, sunscreen, bathers (or raincoat depending on weather), water drink bottle (it is carried on board however requires stopping to fill!)

  • Fishing is optional (March/April)

  • Wildflowers seasonal (September/ November)

  • Reasonable fitness required as there is a 3.5 km (return) walk to the columns from Black Point. (This walk is optional.)

  • Departure times and itinerary dependant on tide times & river flow.
