September till November oin Graeme on a wonderful adventure journeying through the hidden secrets around Pemberton. Graeme travels through the Yeagarup Dunes to the mouth of the Warren River passing through coastal heath country, which is a colourful kaleidoscope with wildflowers between August through to the end of November. The tour is completed with a journey through the old growth Karri forest in the Warren National Park, which is awash with many other wildflowers such as the Karri Star or Clematis and numerous hidden orchids.
This area is consistently a riot of colour during our wildflower season. We believe it is Western Australia’s hidden treasure. Many tourists who came last year said that they had seen the best wildflowers in the state on our tour – and they had been following the wildflower trail across Australia.
A wide variety of orchids flower late November saw Cow Slips, Spider, Donkey, Blue Sun orchid and Silky Blue orchids amongst them. We carry a number of reference books onboard for wildflowers and native mammals, snakes and birds – plus an informative guide. This tour is great for young and old alike – and as the scenery speaks for itself language is not a barrier. In our wildflower photo below - the main flowers are Pimelea, Coral Vine, Egg and Bacon, Prickly Moses and Kangaroo Paw.
