Kangaroo Sports Media is run by Scott Coghlan, a freelance sports journalist, since 2004 the Editor of WA's most popular colour fishing magazine, Western Angler, and from September, 2006, a one-third owner and Managing Editor of Western Angler. He was also formerly the West Australian (Perth) based major sports writer for THE AUSTRALIAN newspaper, and before that likewise for Australian Associated Press (AAP), and is also an occasional reporter for the Sunday Times newspaper's sports pages reporting West Australian Football League (WAFL) and Australian Football League (AFL) matches.

Western Angler, a very popular fishing journal in Western Australia, featuring excellent colour throughout with its feature packed stories from fishing experiences throughout the State.

Scott also has the following former experiences:

as the Media Liasion Officer for the Western Australian Cricket Association,
a football writer for the former Westside Football weekly newspaper in Western Australia,
radio reporting for radio 6NR in Perth - including weekly West Australian Football League matches,
and various radio producer roles with radio 6PR in Perth, Western Australia.
