OLD TV ADVERTS

Here I have old TV ads from the 1980s that I have taken from old video tape. I doubt anyone would be interested in them, but they're fun for nostalgic purpose lol :-)

One Advert I'd like to see (and get) is the one for the Commodor 64 computer in Australia and the Amiga 500 computer. Though I'm not too sure if Amiga500 had an advert on Australia TV. Let me know.

I've encoded these using XVid for video and mp3 for audio. You may need to download the correct codecs if you haven't already done so. XVid is a free video codec.

These adverts range in size from about 500kB to 900kB. Just hold mouse over the picture on IE6 (and possibly other browsers) and it will give you a short description, the year and the size of the file.

These ad's have been taken from Video Tape @ 384x576 25fps and converted them down to 384x288@25fps. The ones I have on my HDD are about 15-30Mb in size uing XVid codec with little or no compression. The videos on this site have been shrunk dramatically due to size constraints.

Hope you enjoy these ads, in a few months I might add some more or replace these with a new set. But for now you might want to also check out this site. It's UK based, so if you're from the UK here'll be something to get nostalgic on :-) (1980's)
