The Holden Racing Team is the Holden Factory team in Touring Cars. They are classed
as the best team in Touring Cars at present. And with very good reason. They won 5 out
of the 6 Championships from 1997 to 2002, with 5 in a row, and are definitely the team
to beat and the ones who set the benchmark. Whether it be a sprint round, or an
endurance race, you can be sure that HRT will be up the front somewhere.
Mark Skaife and Todd Kelly are the two drivers for HRT in 2005.

The Holden Racing Team began in 1988, as "SV Racing", but didn't contest the Touring Car
Championship until 1990, with Win Percy and Neil Crompton. HRT's first race win was
at the Toohey's 1000 at Bathurst in 1990 with Win Percy and Allan Grice, and their first
Touring Car Round win came in 1994 at Eastern Creek with Peter Brock. Since then they
have had great success, including Touring Car Championships in 1996, 1998, 1999 and
2000; Sandown 500 wins in 1996, 1997 and 2000; and Bathurst wins in 1996 and 2001.
