Little is known of the SHANAHAN family. Patrick (Paddy) SHANAHAN married Mary TRACEY on 12th May 1835 at Borrisoleigh, Tipperary Ireland. They came out to Australia on the "Diamond" which left Co. Cork Ireland on 23rd July and arrived Port Philip Australia on 4th November 1841. On board the ship were Patrick & Mary and four children. Mary who married Edmund Joseph WILLIAMSON, Patrick jnr who married Johanna DWYER, Cathleen and Nathanial.

 

Nothing more is known of Patrick & Mary or Cathleen & Nathanial. Patrick jnr had two children with only one surviving. Nothing is known of his death.
