MITSUBISHI 'CIGARETTE' CARS
As far as I can tell these were dealer promotional models, in each case the roof lifts off revealing a dish in the car which would hold cigarettes to offer to customers. (How times have changed!) They are commonly thought of as ashtrays, and while some were sure to have been used as ashtrays I have been reliably informed that they are cigarette holders, and the design supports this theory. The earliest ones are cigarette lighters. They average about 20cm (8") long and are made of metal with various types of plating. I already have a few of these and I am very keen to add to my collection. If you have, or know of any of these please email me, I will pay a fair price depending on the type of car and its condition.
