Welcome to the Home Page of the THOMAS and BISHOP Family. We have established this site for the purpose of sharing the results of our Family History research and in a small way to say thankyou, to the many people who have assisted us in our search. It is our hope that we may be able to make contact with living relatives, and other researchers looking into the same families. It is also our hope that the information contained on this site may be of some use to other researchers. Whilst we have made every effort to ensure the data contained on this site is accurate , please verify for yourself any connections that you may find. The JONES of London family has been researched by our Daughter in Law's Grandfather and he has agreed to have the results of this research published here. Any requests for additional information can be passed on the author of this research.
The data is separated in to the main families of research with Family Tree and Ancestor pages, follow the links above to see what information we have. We are also gathering together photos of our ancestors and the places that they lived, these can be viewed on the Photo Gallery page. Our research started off as simply looking at our direct THOMAS and BISHOP families, however, over the past 12 or more years other names have been added until now we are looking for ancestors and their siblings with the following names all over the United Kingdom and Australia. The THOMAS research is for the following names in the Counties mentioned of Wales, Glamorgan, DAVID, LEWIS, MORGAN, SAMUEL and JONES in and around Coychurch and Bridgend, JOHN, Swansea, JONES Aberdare and Blaenllechau, ROBERTS, THOMAS, Blaenllechau, Tylorstown, Ynyshir and Maerdy. JONES in Carmarthenshire, ROBERTS in Anglesey, PRICHARD and or PRITCHARD and ROBERTS in Caernarvonshire, KNIGHT and THOMAS (two families) in Monmouthshire. Judy's BISHOP family in England is BISHOP , CORBYN and LINCOLNE in Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk, UNWIN and DIAPER at Itchen Ferry and South Stoneham, Hampshire, COTTRELL in Kent, BISHOP and DOUGLAS in South and Western Australia, DIAPER and SCANLAN in Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia, MORTIMER and METCALF in New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia, and SCANLAN in Ireland. Just goes' to prove that as individuals we a cosmopolitan lot, and as our research continues there is the promise of a lot more to come yet!
