We believe that no matter how much time you have, there is no reason that you can't get away from the crowds and off the beaten track.  In doing so, you connect with the "real Peru."

 

Apus Peru is an adventure trekking specialist that gives you the chance have unique experiences with hiking options to little known wilderness places.

These adventure hikes are specially designed, and most are not offered in ANY other agency in Cusco, Peru.We have designed these tours ourselves, and as such, have a real passion for the places we show you. There is much more to Peru than the Inca Trail, and though undeniably Machu Picchu is a huge highlight, other Inca ruins like Choquequirao, Espiritu Pampa or Vilcabamba are very special adventure experiences.

Even if you have little time we you CAN see the real Peru and its highlights, but in a more relaxed and sensitive way! Our tours are reasonably priced because on our tours we generally travel like the Peruvians do (in public bus) and we either eat in local restaurant or moderately on the trail..

We have experience in true adventure travel in many parts of Peru, Bolivia, Colombia and Ecuador and having “been there, and done that” are more than willing to custom design a tour to suit your needs. It is the type of tour where you can immerse yourself in the culture and understand these fascinating countries.

Our tours are offered at affordable prices (similar to what you will get in Cusco around the Plaza) because we are a web-based company which provides low cost tours without compromising on quality. We don't have the expensive operating costs of our competitors, while we have a lot of passion for what we do!

  In going places that other people don't, we run the risk of bringing tourism and its negative impacts to new places. This is the last thing that we want. We aim to tread lightly and leave little trace – in both an environmental and cultural sense.

We have a strict policy of carrying our rubbish out and using environmentally friendly practices like using biodegradable washing products.

 
Culturally, we discourage begging or gift giving and are currently looking into sustainable cross cultural projects where we can make the most positive impact possible. We budget a daily food allowance for our guide, cook, muleteer and any helpers so that they get a substantial amount of food. We pay them a good (above average) daily rate and also pay their return fares from either Machu Picchu or the final destination of the tour. (Not many agencies do this!) We recognise that happy well paid staff will pass on this good service to the client.
