I played in various bands around Sydney & Hobart from 1982 through to 1998. The Sydney bands were all inner-city indie and we played 95% originals. Down here in Tassie it's mainly covers bands as the relatively small music scene here demands that. It was very difficult to get work if you played originals unless you were exceptionally good!
