Our Great Family!
Welcome to 'Our Great Family!' - the website dedicated to members of the Boltshauser, Rogers, Cairns, and Mather families. Although this site contains many more family names, these are the 4 main branches of my 'Family Tree'.
The Boltshauser family (originally of Switzerland) follows my mother's maternal side and the Rogers family (formerly of Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire) relates to her paternal side. The Cairns family (of Ireland, Pontefract Yorkshire and Southern Africa) charts my father's paternal side, and the Mather family (of Toxteth Park, Liverpool) his maternal side.
If you are visiting and discover that you are a long lost relative, I'll very much look forward to hearing from you and adding your details to those already found here... Likewise, if you find that I have listed something erroneously (which requires correction), or if you would like to add/delete or change anything, please drop me a line and I'll do my best to sort things out in the quickest time possible… Just click on 'Email Us'.

Identity Fraud
It has been my intention from the very start of compiling my family history, to make the finished product available to everyone (both immediate family and the distant relatives we are all yet to meet!) by placing the completed Family Tree onto the Internet.
As with all net-based ventures, this has its positives and its negatives - the latter includes identity fraud. As this is a very real concern, I have intentionally not included the personal information of living members of my family or their contact details. If family members or genealogy researchers out there require that type of information, they are welcome to contact me directly, and I will pass on their requests to the family member concerned for them to make contact if they choose.
How to navigate this site
This is a 'RootsMagic' genealogy programme that utilises GEDCOM files, and it is very easy to navigate. Click on either the 'Surname List' or 'Name Index' to go to specific names. When you find the name that you're looking for, click on 'Narrative' to find a brief description of that person. (Please keep in mind that the details of living people are not shown). Where you see a camera icon next to a person's name, click on it to see a photograph of that person, and then use your browsers 'back' button to return to the 'Narrative'. All sources are listed under 'Sources', or by clicking on the small numbers that you will find next to the name of the person. Too easy!
