Originally from England (some 36 years ago), MARGARET has resided in Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide as well as having travelled extensively. Following a successful career as a Shopping Centre Manager in Perth, Margaret married Lew in 1998, and a year later retired and left the city to live on his farm in the wheatbelt in the township of Harrismith. She took up painting fulltime, exhibiting paintings at several galleries and exhibitions with her first solo exhibition at Houghton Winery in the Swan Valley (Perth) in 2001. The front reception area at Albany View Street Lodge has recently been extended to form a studio/gallery thus making it a pleasant area for guests to browse. Click Here to view some of Margarets magnificent works. LEW has spent most of his life on his farm at Harrismith (in the Upper Great Southern part of WA), and still has farming interests there. He has been involved in all community activities including football, cricket and golf. He is well known throughout the South West for his success in lawn bowls, having played pennant bowls with Wickepin and being a regular member of the Upper Great Southern League squad for many years. Lew now continues to play pennant bowls with Emu Point Bowling Club in Albany and was a member of the 2003 winning Country Bowls Team. Both LEW & MARGARET love watching cricket (nowadays mainly on television.) They also enjoy playing golf and watching other sports. LEW & MARGARET extend a warm welcome to all guests and do their
upmost to ensure their stay is a happy one. |
