I had a long career in Perth as a Shopping Centre Manager. I married
my husband, Lew - a farmer in the Upper Great Southern and lived there
for about two years.
I took up painting fulltime while I was on the farm and had a solo exhibition
at Houghton Wines in the Swan Valley in March 2001.
In June 2001, after selling half the farm, we bought ALBANY
VIEW STREET LODGE BED & BREAKFAST and have now settled in Albany.
In 2002 we extended the front of the property - the result of which
our reception area is part of my studio/gallery. My paintings are also
displayed throughout the guests suites and the house itself.
I paint in OIL, PASTEL, ACRYLIC and WATERCOLOUR.
I paint mainly from my own photos and many of my works reflect the
vibrant colours of the landscape, seas and rivers of this fragile land
but some of my watercolours and pastels require a more delicate touch
and sometimes I paint in a more contemporary form.
I am inspired by the stunning SOUTH COAST of Western Australia. I take
photos and paint many watercolour miniatures (set into mounts) as well
as smaller framed paintings and these prove very popular with our guests
as they are easy to pack.
The prices of my paintings are very reasonable and I welcome anyone
to come and view them here at View Street.
A phone call first would be appreciated as we could be very busy during
mornings.
My telephone number is (08) 9842 8820.
