During the 17th of November 2007 we recorded, at our observatory in the Golden Grove site, a meteor shower.

During the evening hours, at approx 10pm WAST we also recorded a particularly strong meteor, which not only appeared on the UHF chart as Electromagnetic Radiation, but also showed that there was a simultaneous burst of a magnetic pulse, as shown by the GREEN trace.

We expect to find more of these meteor events over the next few days, and we have been advised that the optical astronomy group on site (AGWA) , will take note of any significant visible meteors and record them along with the time of appearance so that the Radio Astronomy guys can check these sitings with their charts.
