The Cook family have been supplying prime meat to the Perth market for over 100 years. Their historical property ‘Noondel’ has been in the family for five generations. It was selected from the fertile redgum and fresh running brook country of the Dandaragan valley in the early 1860’s.
David and Joan Cook and their three adult children, Tracey, Daniel and Jonathan are organic meat producers certified with Australian Certified Organic (Biological Farmers of Australia) and run over 2000 head of Red Angus cattle.
Holistic farm management is one of the keys to their success producing healthy grass fed animals and securing long term sustainability for future generations.
In addition, all stock on ‘Noondel’ are handled quietly using low stress methods with rotation to fresh water and pasture every few days ensuring the animals are quiet and content, thus producing a quality product.
The ‘certified organic’ label assures your family that their beef is produced under internationally recognised standards for organic food production and guarantees that the product is grown without chemicals, antibiotics, hormones and genetically modified organisms. Additionally, the beef is raised on organic pasture grasses which has been shown in studies to be nutritionally superior to grain fed beef.
The Cook family recognises the important link between healthy soil, healthy stock and a healthy product for healthy people, thus their strong commitment to organic and ethical principles.
