It turns out that someone was running drugs through this depot, though we are currently unsure exactly who was selling them. We have however cleared the Hekh’ Tah corporation of any wrongdoing. When they finally arrived, six hours after you left the scene, one of their freighter captains was taken into custody, but he produced proof that the corporation was not smuggling drugs. Apparently, some smugglers or dealers had paid off the mercenaries to look the other way while they left their drugs in a well guarded Hekh’ Tah Depot. Nobody would think to inspect the place, and the mercenaries would be able to provide up to the minute accounts of freighter or GTVA movements and tell the dealers when to pick up. However, this mission has created as many mysteries as it solved. Who had been behind the ring, and did they die on the gunship? Why did the mercenaries choose to leave the depot before the deal was made? Were they betraying their employer and attempting to obtain the drugs for themselves? Who was in the unmarked scout freighter at the beginning of the encounter? We have teams looking into these mysteries now, but do not hold out many hopes of success. What we do know for sure is that there are now several fewer crates of drugs in this system, and the dealers have lost a valuble distribution point.
